About The Smith
Ross Jagears is a member of Artist Blacksmith’s Association of North America (ABANA) , American Bladesmith Society (ABS), Kansas Knifemaker’s Association (KCKA) and has been working at knifesmithing and blacksmithing for more than thirty-five years.
I’m an avid outdoorsman. Along with swinging a hammer, I love to hunt and fish as well.
I have a lovely family that I feel blessed to call my own who are supportive of my craft and often join me out in the shop. My blacksmithing princess has grown up and only comes out to make jewelry with me every once in a while, but my two sons are often out in the shop with me, making knives and the other things they’ve dreamed up.
